biggest loser
8 07 2008I am doing a 20 minworkout video with jullian Michaels.. ( the trainer from Biggest Loser) when I wake up, then I will jog for like 45 min.. I hope this is a good way to shed the weight!! well its day two. I am trying to set a small goal of keeping this up just til the end of July.. that way I do not feel overwhelmed with the reminder of the 40 lbs I want to lose!! grrrrrr
well here is to a new me.. the old fashion way.. workingout and eating right!

I am working on 40 pounds too, but right now my MAIN goal is the first 10% which is 18 pounds and to be ready for my triathlon in August. I am training for my first triathlon and eating with Weight watchers program. I started the training 2 months ago, but the weight wasn’t going any where so I needed to add the food part. Like Brad says it is about less calories in and more calories out. Good luck.
I think maybe a good way to look at weight loss is also a trick I use when I’m running - Spotting. 40 lbs can be daunting (I know, I’m trying to lose 35) just like looking at the long road ahead of you can be daunting. When I’m running I pick 20-yard goals - the lamp post, fire hydrant, mailbox - and it’s amazing how much faster the run goes and how less-tired I feel. It’s just like what shebaduhkitty is doing with the 10% weight-loss goal. Maybe try losing 2 lbs per week (a very healthy and attainable goal) and don’t focus on the finish line, just the checkpoints. All of a sudden you’ll be 40 lbs lighter and wondering “how did I get here?” Good luck Michelle!! You can do it!
